Who we are

The Curious Cut publishes short educational videos on YouTube (youtube.com/@thecurious-cut), Instagram and other platforms, and sells its own digital products on thecuriouscut.pages.dev.

YouTube API Services

We use an internal desktop tool, named INSTAGRANS, that connects to YouTube API Services to publish our own videos to our own YouTube channels. The tool is used only by the owner of those channels and is not offered to the public. By using this tool, the owner agrees to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

Google's privacy practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

What data the tool accesses

After the channel owner grants permission with Google OAuth 2.0 (scopes youtube.upload and youtube), the tool can: upload videos and set their title, description and tags; set custom thumbnails; create and edit playlists of our own videos; and read the status and public statistics (such as views) of our own videos and channels.

What data we store

We do not collect, store or process personal data of viewers, commenters or any other YouTube user.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent or share YouTube API data with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.

Retention, deletion and revoking access

Authorization tokens are kept only while the tool is in use and are deleted when access is revoked. Public statistics read from the API are shown in the internal dashboard with a short cache and are refreshed or deleted within 30 days. The channel owner can revoke the tool's access at any time at security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. To ask us to delete any data related to you, write to the address below and we will do it within 30 days.
